Győr is often called the city of corner balconies, as there are over three dozen visible in the downtown area, with some intersections featuring a balcony on every building corner.
Many are unaware that Győr is the city of rivers, its unique character shaped by the confluence of the Rába, Rábca, Mosoni-Danube, and Marcal rivers. Along the carefully developed, romantic riverside promenades, one can stroll for hours and enjoy the marvelous views.
