Kimle

Kimle is situated in a bend of the Mosoni-Danube, next to the ancient road between Győr and Mosonmagyaróvár. The village consists of three parts - Horvátkimle, Magyarkimle and Novákpuszta. The border of the village is the meeting point of the Hanság and Szigetköz, two unique regions of Hungary. The area has an extremely rich flora and fauna and there is lively water tourism on the Mosoni-Danube.

Kimle is one of those 10 Hungarian settlements that is divided by a river and joined together by a bridge in the middle of it. We are proud of our beautiful surroundings, and looking forward to show it for our guests.

In Horvátkimle can be found a catholic church and a relief of Mate  Mersic Miloradic (1850-1920), who was a parson and poet of the settlement. The church of Magyarkimle (13th century) was rebuilt in baroque style in the 18th century. On the main square there is a 110 years old linden tree standing and a statue of Trinity. The sculpture of King Béla the 4th was initiated in 2001 for the respect of the Millenium.
